Who am I and what is this site?

My name is Louis Fortier and I am a grad student from Montreal. I am currently developing this website in order to make my knowledge, my projects and experiences available to a broader audience. Being a graduate student in German studies, I care a lot about developing useful tools for future students while making them flexible enough to be used for other languages as well. With the omnipresence of the internet nowadays, I believe it is essential to see the online "world" as a new learning platform.

Aside from German and language learning activities, a good part of my free time is devoted to music and audio recording. Having played various sorts of guitars for more than 15 years, music is not only a passion; it is also a language. I have been tinkering with audio recording since 2006 and have been recording, editing and mixing music and interviews ever since. There is always a way to get better at what we do, and that's what has been keeping me busy since the day I held my first guitar.
